In a controversial move, president-elect Peter Pellegrini has invited the Russian ambassador to his inaugural ceremony. In January, Pellegrini met with Russian Ambassador to Slovakia Igor Bratchikov. They discussed the “Ukrainian crisis” and Slovakia’s internal political situation in the context of the presidential elections.
