In the wake of the assassination attempt on Robert Fico, government parties claim years of inflammatory rhetoric from mainstream media and political opposition are to blame. A recent public opinion survey, published by outlets including TA3 and endorsed by Minister of Interior Matúš Šutaj Eštok, supports these narratives. However, the survey’s credibility is questioned due to its origin from the Czech polling agency SANEP, known for its problematic reputation. SANEP’s non-membership in SIMAR, opaque data collection methods, and alleged political biases cast doubt on the integrity of the results.
