In a significant development, the Slovak National Criminal Agency (NAKA) has confirmed the involvement of former Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák in the 2017 abduction of Vietnamese citizen Trinh Xuan Thanh.
The investigation revealed that the abduction was facilitated through Slovakia with the assistance of a government plane, under the guise of an impromptu meeting between Kaliňák and Vietnam’s then-Minister of Public Security, To Lam.
